Originally-written poetry:

This world is a furnace.
Witness: Fire plumes, a burning sulfur abyss.
Hear this: Run rebar down my spine.
With God on my side—
Steeled resolves—
Against opposition; adversity; and brick walls.
I’ll walk through the flames;
I’ll walk straight into my destiny,
Failing forward and doing it my own way.

For this design, I wanted to go with a bold, gritty, and industrial feel that was driven by the poetry featured in the middle of the design. Drawing from the imagery of fire embedded in both the poetry and the Refined By Fire Attire logo, flames that rise up are prominently featured behind the Refined By Fire Attire logo at the top of the design. Below the rising flames, features a two-sided wall of distressed bricks that center the poetry. Additionally, two crisscrossing sets of construction-based steel rebar form an ‘x’ at the base of the brick wall structure.

The back design features the t-shirt’s theme at the top: This World Is a Furnace. Below, the official Refined By Fire Attire logo can be found to the left, and the State of Michigan image to the right. Further down, is the phrase Spirit-Filled; and the bottom of the back design features a black and white handshake image, with the words Black Lives Matter.
